Michala Clemmensen (b. 1978, Denmark) has a background in Visual Art, graduating from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art (MFA) in 2010. Since her graduation, she has primarily worked with Set and video design for Opera, Theater, Dance, Concerts and Events.
Among other, Michala has created video design for the critically acclaimed MADAMA BUTTERFLY at The Jutland Opera, Odense Symphony Orchestras premiere of the unique concert installation LIQUID ROOMS by composer Karsten Fundal, the play RIGET and 68 both at the Royal Danish Theater, The concert SOUND OF NORTH by film composer Frans Bak, ALPHABET for Malmö Stadsteater (SE). Michala has also created set and video design for events and concerts at The Danish National Broadcast, such as NATSVÆRMEREN LIVE, FREUDS FRIDAY and the Girl Choir's CHRISTMAS CONCERT. Most recently, Michala has created designs for the Dance Performance MAGGIE & ME by the canadian choreographer Christine Friday, AAVF's concert ELEMENTS OF THE NORTH, Aarhus Festuges concert SYNG NORDEN SAMMEN as well as the plays DEATH OF A SALESMAN and PREKARIATET both for Malmö Stadsteater (SE).
